Audit ahead for Mosby city court
MOSBY (AP) - The Missouri State auditor's office has announced plans to audit the municipal court of Mosby.
Auditor Nicole Galloway said in a release Thursday that a 2009 audit of the 7th Judicial Circuit in Mosby showed about $6,400 worth of receipts that hadn't been deposited. Galloway says the court administrator also couldn't locate many court documents at the time.
The state auditor's office is responsible for auditing the operations of municipal courts and divisions.
She says the audit will seek to evaluate the court's internal financial controls and compliance with laws.
Mosby is a city of about 200 residents north of Kansas City in northwest Missouri.
