Big Weekend Ahead
"It's a Big 12 duel, we have two of them this weekend and they're on the road. We've prepared them because there's going to be a little more adversity because there's going to be the enemy crowd, and the crowd gets on referees more, but you got to be able to focus that out and just focus on what we can control, which is going out there and wrestling hard," said Missouri Head Coach Brian Smith.
Saturday night, the Tigers wrestle 4th-ranked defending National Champion Oklahoma State in Stillwater. Sunday it's on to Norman for a match with the nationally ranked Oklahoma Sooners.
"I've been down there before and Oklahoma State brings a big crowd. They boo you and they'll be yelling and stuff so it'll be fun," said Missouri wrestler Josh Wagner.
Mizzou won its first Big 12 match this past Sunday 31-11 over Nebraska, and looks to pick up another pair of Conference wins this weekend.
"We, again, we went through this training phase, and we were a little bit banged up against Nebraska I'd say, but I think every is getting back and getting recuperated and feeling pretty good going into these next two duals," added Missouri wrestler Mark Ellis.
"Right now we've got to find out what we need to do to win and here's what we do, do A...B...C...D... and things take care of itself," said Smith.
