Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Elizabeth Cory said in an email that an investigation started into the crash of the Pitts biplane and that the National Transportation Safety Board also was involved. The NTSB didn't immediately respond to a phone call and email message seeking comment. No other details were immediately available.
