Blackwater bank robber sentenced
JEFFERSON CITY – The federal sentence is in for a man who robbed a Missouri bank and 11 other businesses in five states.
United States Attorney Tammy Dickinson announced Monday that 45-year-old Timothy Patrick Hoyt was sentenced to eight years and one month in federal prison without parole.
Hoyt robbed Alliant Bank in Blackwater and other businesses including eight fast food restaurants across Kansas, South Dakota, Nebraska and Oklahoma between June 26 and Aug. 6, 2013. He pleaded guilty on Sep. 9, 2015.
Hoyt used a pellet gun he shoplifted from Walmart. He was arrested after robbing the Papa Murphy’s Pizza restaurant in Altoona, Iowa.
