Bloch Sculpture Unveiled at UMKC
KANSAS CITY - A sculpture of H&R Block co-founder Henry W. Bloch and his wife, Marion, now stands outside two University of Missouri-Kansas City buildings that bear their name.
The 8-feet-tall bronze sculpture that was unveiled this week was created by artist Eugene Daub. The university says it was commissioned about a year ago by the Bloch children to surprise their father on his 90th birthday. The sculpture also seeks to commemorate the couple's commitment to the Bloch School of Management and to the city.
It's position between the Bloch Heritage Hall and Bloch Executive Hall.
