Blues Blank Wild
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Barret Jackman broke a league-high 150-game scoreless drought and Brian Elliott made 13 saves to lead the St. Louis Blues to a 4-0 win over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday.
The Blues won for the sixth time in seven games and gained points in a franchise-record 21st straight home game. St. Louis picked up its league-best 26th home win (26-3-4).
Minnesota is winless in its last seven, the longest streak since an eight-game skid Dec. 13-28, 2011. The Wild have scored just nine goals in the last seven games.
Jackman had held the longest active scoreless skid in the NHL. Anaheim's Sheldon Bookbank broke a 167-game scoreless skid with a goal Friday. Jackman tallied on a shot from the point that eluded goalie Josh Harding. It was his first goal since Jan. 7, 2010 and gave the Blues a 2-0 lead early in the second period.
