When KOMU News asked Archie on Thursday if he supports vouchers or will bring up the issue to the board, he replied, "If those issues are on the table, that will be the discussion we'll have."

The Missouri Senate must vote on Archie and Whitmore-Smith's nominations before they can join the state education board. Archie's state senator has endorsed him, but Whitmore-Smith's senator has not endorsed her. Gov. Blunt said he stands behind both nominations because they would diversify the board.
