Blunt Promotes State Internationally
Blunt is attending the Paris Air Show, the world's biggest air show. The governor's office says he's there working to promote companies with Missouri ties, such as Boeing, Essex and GKN. Blunt is among four US governors who planned to attend the international trade fair. The trip is being paid for by the Hawthorn Foundation. That's a nonprofit group that funds business promotion activities by governors and receptions for visiting dignitaries. The governor headed to Paris on Saturday and plans to return Wednesday. During that time, Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder is officially in charge of the state. Kinder plans to sign some legislation while acting as governor.
