Body identified in Lake of the Ozarks drowning
LAKE OF THE OZARKS - Investigators have identified a body that was recovered near the 8-mile marker on the main channel of Lake of the Ozarks on Tuesday morning.
The body was identified as Alexander G. Keith, 19, of Lake Ozark, Mo.
According to a press release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Keith was reported missing on July 1 after troopers began investigating an unoccupied boat that was idling near the 8.5 mile marker on June 30.
The preliminary cause of Keith’s death appeared to be drowning, but investigators are looking into how he entered the water.
