Boone County candidates to hold forum on MU campus

COLUMBIA – The general election is being brought to the big stage today.

MU’s political science honor fraternity, Pi Sigma Alpha, along with the Political Science Club is hosting a forum Wednesday night,for Boone County candidates for the Missouri House of Representatives. The forum will be from 7:00 to 8:30pm, and will be held in the Rhynsburger Theater located in the Fine Arts Building on the MU Campus.

"State and local elections don't always get as much coverage. And it's important that students and our community know about the potential leaders that will be running." President of Pi Sigma Alpha, Alison Bonner said.

The forum will include candidates from District 44: Democrat Tom Pauley and Republican Cheri Reisch. District 45: Democrat Rep. Kip Kendrick and Independent William Lee. District 46: Democrat Martha Stevens and Republican Don Waterman. District 47: Democrat Susan McClinic and Republican Rep. Chuck Basye.

The event is free and is open to the public.
