Boone County Restaurants deciding what to do about mask ordinance
BOONE COUNTY- Businesses outside the city limits of Columbia are now having to decide what to do about the mask ordinance that goes into affect for Columbia city limits on Friday.
George Godas is the owner of George's Steakhouse just outside of Columbia City limits. He says that he will not require his patrons to wear a mask inside his restaurant.
"No, because the way we set things up now is operating at 20% capacity," said Godas.
He set up the seating in his restaurant so that chairs are on the tables to block patrons from sitting too close to other tables. His restaurant also has a patio seating for customers.
For George, his customers are important to him. They are like family.
"I talk to my customers, I greet them when they come in, I talk to them when they eat," said Godas.
