Brown Garners Honors, Tigers Prep for Rebels
Which is not a surprise considering his dream come true day against Illinois on Saturday. Pig Brown collected three turnovers on the day including a fumble return that went for 100 yards tying an NCAA record.
Brown recovered another Illini fumble the next Illinois possession. He also had a game saving interception at the Missouri one-yard line with less than a minute to play. The senior safety also had five tackles, one of them for a loss.
Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel said, "The best form of leadership you can have, is first of all be a good football player. Then you add all of thsoe things and he's kind of on the lead-on the field leader, and I just don't know if you can play a better game-don't tell him I said that, but I don't know if he can play a better game than he did."
"That's a game come true, you know, in games like that are hard to come by," Brown said. So I mean I'm going to try best, you know-give my best effort day in and day out you know. Just try to come in every game and you know, and just try to play my hardest."
The Tigers play the Ole Miss Rebels next week in Oxford.
