Buildings Cause Lane Closure in Sedalia
SEDALIA - One lane of traffic is closed at the intersection of South Ohio Avenue and West Second Street. The city of Sedalia deemed two buildings dangerous and had to block a lane of traffic to prevent injuries in case the buildings collapse.
The one lane closure has impacted businesses. Parking spots are blocked and it is an inconvenience to customers.
Harry Hoffert owns Stone Laser Imaging which is located right across the street from the condemned buildings.
"Until there is an agreement on what they are going to do with the buildings, I think we are losing a little bit of revenue." Hoffert said. "But business is business."
The owner of the buildings told KOMU 8 News that he has not come to an agreement with the city to decide what to do with the structures.
