Camden County Man Arrested for Assault
LAKE OZARK — Camden County Sheriff's Deputies announced Wednesday they arrested a Lake Ozark man for a first-degree assault that occurred earlier in the month.
Deputies alleged James Dean Turner assaulted a man using his fists on August 8 in the 100 block of Sweet William Road in Lake Ozark. Witnesses reported the victim attempted to break up a fight between Turner and his girlfriend.
When deputies spoke to Turner on the phone he provided his location to speak to him in person, but was not there when deputies arrived.
Deputies arrested Turner on Sunday when they located him at a traffic stop in Osage Beach. Prosecutors charged Turner with a Class A Felony of first-degree assault.
The victim was severely injured and transported to an area hospital where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit for treatment.
