Camden County Sheriff's deputy involved in serious crash
CAMDEN COUNTY - A Camden County Sheriff's deputy was involved in a car crash Friday on Route MM near Villages Way, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
The report said Danielle Borrett tried to turn left from the shoulder as Casey Marks, the deputy, drove past on an emergency call. Borrett's vehicle struck Marks' while he attempted to avoid the crash, traveled off the left side and overturned, according to the report.
Borrett was taken to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach with minor injuries. Marks was taken to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. University Hospital said Marks' condition on Saturday was fair.
Borrett's vehicle had extensive damage. The deputy's vehicle was totaled, according to the report.
