Candidates Make Last Minute Visits
He talked about his record with prescription drugs, biodiesel and Missouri's war on meth. The stop was a part of Talent's 11-city "Whirlwind Tour" that began Saturday. Supporters said homegrown support will carry him to victory.
"I'm convinced of it... I think the people, the grassroots people are going to vote for him, and I'm very supportive and confident that they will," Talent supporter Charlene Jayamanne said.
Missouri Democrat Claire McCaskill campaigned in St. Louis Monday. McCaskill is challenging Talent in an extremely tight election. Later in the day, McCaskill was scheduled to fly to Kansas City and knock on doors in the neighborhood where she originally ran for State Representative in 1982.
McCaskill will also make one last stop in Columbia. She'll visit the Columbia Public Library on Tuesday, beginning at 11:45 a.m.
