Car chase ends in Fulton man's arrest
CALLAWAY COUNTY - The Callaway County Sheriff's Office said Fulton police arrested a man Thursday after he led them on a chase the day before.
Police arrested Douglass Bowen at his residence in Fulton at around 6:09 p.m. Wednesday, according to authorities.
Sheriff's office deputies said they assisted the Fulton Police Department on pursuing Bowen's vehicle early Wednesday morning. FPD lost sight of the his silver Mercury Mountaineer on County Road 110, authorities said.
A deputy tried to pull Bowen after he allegedly didn't stop at a stop sign. The deputy chased the vehicle through Kingdom City, Fulton and Millersburg before giving up on State Road J.
The sheriff's office said Bowen could face charges of felony resisting arrest, speeding, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent. Bowen's bond is set at $6,500.
Missouri State Highway Patrol also assisted with the pursuit.
