Car Slams into Woman at Vigil for Murder Victims
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Two men are in custody after violence erupted at a St. Louis vigil for a murder victim. Police tell KTVI-TV that about 20 people had gathered for the candlelight vigil when two cars pulled up and began shooting, firing at the crowd attending the vigil.
Some people attending the vigil were armed and returned fire. Despite the gunfire, no one was struck. But as people began running from the scene, one of the cars struck a woman, apparently intentionally. She is hospitalized in critical condition.
The two cars were found a few blocks away, and two men were taken into custody. Their names have not been released.
