Cardinals Arrive In Boston After Flight Delay
ST. LOUIS While preparing to fly out to Boston for a decisive game 6 matchup in the World Series against the Red Sox, the St. Louis Cardinals were delayed for about seven hours from their flight.
The reason why the redbirds were flightless yesterday was because only one of the three navigation systems for the planes was working. Delta Airlines, who charters all the team's flights, decided to call in another plane after attempts at repairing the Cardinal's plane. However, the plane they requested was in Atlanta so the team had to wait until the plane arrived in St. Louis.
While the plane was supposed to leave at 1 p.m., it arrived around 6:45 p.m. The Cardinals ended up arriving in Boston at 11 p.m.
The Cardinals will look to stay alive in the World Series as the 4-0 Michael Wacha will face off against John Lackey tonight.
