Cardinals Broadcaster Dan McLaughlin Charged Again with DWI
ST. LOUIS - Cardinals broadcaster Dan McLaughlin was arrested on Sunday for drunk driving that led to a car accident in Chesterfield, Missouri. Police say the 37-year-old struck a street sign before leaving the scene. McLaughlin was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to exercise the highest degree of care.
Charges are currently pending in Chesterfield Municipal Court and he was released on $750 bond.
This is the second time McLaughlin has been charged with driving while intoxicated. In November, McLaughlin was ordered to serve two years probation and complete community service after he pleaded guilty to driving drunk on August 16, 2010 after police pulled him over on Highway 40 following a report of an erratic driver. McLaughlin refused to take a breath test and was arrested.
