Chiefs' defense dominates in win over Raiders
KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Chiefs defense put on a show as it held the Oakland Raiders to nine points in a 40-9 victory on Sunday.
The Chiefs' defense came out firing on all cylinders, forcing three turnovers and a turnover on downs. They also shut out the Raiders through the first half.
Kansas City's offense made sure to capitalize, scoring two touchdowns to go along with a pick-six from Juan Thornhill to lead 21-0 at the half.
Defensively, they wouldn't let up, as they shut out Oakland through the first three quarters.
Kansas City dominated offensively as well, adding on 17 more points, alongside two points on a PAT return to win 40-9.
The Chiefs improve to 8-4 and remain in first place in the AFC West as the Raiders fall to 6-6 and second in the division.
Kansas City will have a rematch of last season's AFC Championship game as they travel to play the New England Patriots on Sunday at 3:25 p.m.
