Chiefs trade Carlos Hyde to the Texans
KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Chiefs have traded running back Carlos Hyde to the Houston Texans.
Hyde, who spent half of the 2018 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, signed with the Chiefs after being cut in March.
The Chiefs received second-year guard Martinas Rankin who will provide depth in case of an injury or suspension.
Hyde joins a running back group in Houston that consists of recently acquired Duke Johnson, Buddy Howell, former Mizzou running back Damarea Crockett, and Karan Higdon.
It's starting to become a busy day for the Chiefs who traded cornerback Mark Fields to the Minnesota Vikings earlier on Saturday.
