Childrens' Toy Recalled
CHICAGO - The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a voluntary recall for some of the Radio Flyer Scoot ‘n Zoom riding toys for preschoolers. The riding car could tip forward while the child is on it, causing injuries.
Radio Flyer received ten reports with six children being injured.Three children had chin wounds that required stitches. Three of the children had either their teeth loosened or removed.
There are 165,000 of these riding toys being recalled with the model number 711.
Owners of the recalled product can contact Radio Flyer to get a free replacement or a refund. Radio Flyer's customer service toll-free number is at (800) 621-7613 and is available to answer questions between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday.
