COLUMBIA - Grass Roots Organizing rallied in Columbia Wednesday for new jobs. With Congress letting unemployment benefits expire and some Missouri lawmakers wanting to slash jobs and services, some Missourians feel vulnerable and want change.
More than 20 people gathered expressing their dissatisfaction towards policy that would reduce access to human services and eliminate family support workers.
Grass Roots Organizing "demands" that the governor vetoes all proposals to consolidate or reduce the number of family support offices.
Nearly 2 million U.S. workers face elimination of their unemployment benefits this year.
