City Channel Employee Awarded Telly Award

COLUMBIA — Rosemary Frank, City Channel employee, received a bronze Telly award from the Silver Telly Council for her creative excellence in production.

Frank accepted the Telly award for her story "Take Control. Get Tested The STD Reality Check." Her story, in which she produced, video graphed and edited, featured the Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services' STD/HIV outreach program and clinic.

The Telly Awards, founded in 1979, honors outstanding TV commercials, video and film productions, and Web commercials, videos and films.

Silver Council, of more than 500 accomplished industry professionals, evaluated more than the entries to recognize their unique qualities in creative work. The council receives 13,000 entries annually which represent the finest ad agencies, production companies, TV stations, cable companies, interactive agencies and corporations in the world.

The City Channel of Columbia broadcasts city meetings and original programming featuring department programs and activities. The channel airs on Mediacom 80, Charter Communications 992 and CenturyLink 601. Programming can also be viewed online.
