Club Raises Awareness About Africa

The event had music, dancing, and free food. It was free to the public because students gathered a lot of support from the community.

"There are a lot of stereotypes there is a lot of ignorance, and to have any understanding between cultures and especially to help where it is needed, you have to get that information, and so we decided to focus on one topic this year and we actually picked a very large region. We picked Africa," said the co-founder of the Global Issues Club Allison Minor.

The students in the Global Issues Club hope to make this an annual event, focusing on a different part of the world every year.
