CMU Baseball Loses Pair at Southwest Baptist

BOLIVAR, MO - Southwest Baptist, a NCAA Division II institution, won a pair of baseball games over Central Methodist at Dodson Field. The Eagles (5-6) lost the first game 15-6 and the second game 10-8.

Central Methodist batters combined for five homeruns and 11 RBI on Tuesday. Steve Bazner hit two in the second game. Eli Bowers, Dustin Ray and Brennen Wood had one apiece.

Ray drove in three total runs in the two games. Bazner and Bowers each plated two. Matt Gessner posed one double.

Drew Greiwe (1-2), in the first game, and AJ Pfeifer (0-1), in the second, suffered the losses. Ryan Revoir, who started the second game and got a no-decision, pitched effectively, allowing four earned runs on seven hits in 4.2 innings on the
mound.

Central Methodist will host Trinity International for a doubleheader on Thursday, March 8. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. CT.
