CMU Men's Basketball Adds 12 to Signing Class
FAYETTE, MO -- The Central Methodist men's basketball team has added 12 members to its 2012 signing class, head coach Jeff Sherman announced.
"We are just thrilled with our incoming freshmen class for the 2012-13 season," Sherman said. "We will have one of our more experienced teams next year with a large number of seniors, so we felt the need to have a nice group of freshmen on hand to work and build for our future."
"We have signed All-State players Dillon Yung, Jordan Erisman and John Hall that headline a bunch of other all-conference and all-district performers. The Eagles were the 2012 HAAC Junior Varsity Champions, and we expect to be deeper and more talented this coming season. Junior Varsity Head Coach Jeremy Esry will enjoy a talented group of young men to work with and build next season. We have scheduled one of our toughest JV schedules next season with numerous games against junior college teams."
"My compliments to recruiting coordinator Charlie Wilson with help from Esry as they have done a wonderful job of identifying not only talented basketball players, but talented overall student-athletes that are the perfect fit for Central Methodist University. We have one more spot to fill, and we have the luxury of being able to be patient with the squad we have in place. This is going to be a fun year for both squads, and I am excited about getting underway this fall."
