KANSAS CITY -- The eight teams have been paired up for the 2012 Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament with the three rounds of play scheduled for February 29, March 2 and March 5.

Top-seeded MidAmerica Nazarene (22-8) won the regular season championship with a conference mark of 16-2 for its first title since 2007. The Pioneers will play host to 8th-seeded Missouri Valley (10-20) in the Bell Family Arena in the first round.

Evangel (22-8) claimed the #2 seed in the tournament thanks to its runner-up finish in the standings and will welcome 7th-seeded Central Methodist (14-14) to the Ashcroft Center.

A win in the regular season finale allowed Baker (19-10) to lock down the #3 seed in the tournament and will pair the Wildcats up against 6th-seeded Benedictine (10-8) at the Collins Center.

Two teams with the identical conference records are paired together in the final first round game as 4th-seeded Avila(18-11) hosts #5 Graceland (19-10) at Mabee Fieldhouse.

The HAAC Tournament champion will receive an automatic bid to the 75th Annual Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Championship at the historic Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City, which will run from March 14-20.
