COLUMBIA -- Columbia College head softball coach Wendy Spratt officially announced Tuesday the signing of Paige Kleffner to play for the Cougars beginning in the fall of 2013.

A Wardsville, Missouri native, Kleffner is midway through her senior year at Blair Oaks High School where she was a four-year varsity player for the Falcons. Paige has helped Blair Oaks to three district championships and state quarterfinal appearance in 2010 and a state championship in 2009. She was an all-conference and all-district honoree in 2010.

Off the field Kleffner is on the Superintendent's List and Principal's List.

"We are excited that Paige will join our roster for the 2013-14 season," said Spratt. "She is an extremely hard worker in the classroom and on the field and will be a valuable asset to Columbia College and our softball program."
