Columbia company merges with larger engineering company
COLUMBIA - Mid-Missouri-based Trabue, Hansen & Hinshaw (THHinc) merged with Iowa-based McClure Engineering Company Monday, expanding its water and wastewater engineering services.
The new Columbia-based company was set to operate under the name THHinc McClure Engineering Company. McClure Engineering, however, would continue to operate as MEC in all of its markets. The combined company includes more than 100 employees in seven locations throughout Iowa and Missouri.
The larger company offers infrastructure planning, design, program management, funding assistance, construction administration and surveying in addition to water/wastewater engineering services.
Gene Hinshaw, previously president of THHinc became market president for THHinc McClure in Missouri. Terry Lutz, President of McClure Engineering Company, remained in his role.
Hinshaw said, "We're excited to enhance our expertise in this area, as well as deepen our knowledge base and skill set in our other engineering offerings."
The company now has two offices in Missouri: THHinc McClure's Columbia office and Lake Ozark.
