Columbia homicide suspect transferred to Boone County Jail
COLUMBIA - Javion M Lawhorn-Wallace is in custody at the Boone County Jail as of Sunday evening after being arrested in St. Louis last Thursday.
Lawhorn-Wallace is accused of killing 18-year-old Nadria Wright, a recent Battle High School graduate and Columbia College student.
Columbia police issued a warrant for his arrest last Wednesday.
The probable cause statement said surveillance showed the gunshots that killed Wright and injured Sam Baldwin came from a white Mercedes SUV. Investigators said Lawhorn-Wallace drives a white Mercedes SUV, and that he and Baldwin "were on opposing sides of a feud."
Lawhorn-Wallace is charged with second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon.
Lawhorn-Wallace is currently being held with no bond. He's scheduled to appear in Boone County court on September 30 at 1:30 p.m.
