Columbia man arrested after shots fired
COLUMBIA - Columbia police arrested a man Sunday morning after he allegedly shot multiple rounds from his gun near the Eagle Stop gas station at Providence Road and Interstate 70.
CPD officers arrived just before 2 a.m. to the parking lot of the Eagle Stop.
Witnesses said they saw Marc Ballinger Jr., 25, pointing a gun at another male during an argument.
Ballinger then allegedly ran behind the Eagle Stop and fired two rounds. Police have not said whether anyone was hurt.
Officers arrested Ballinger Jr. shortly after they say he fired the shots. He faces felony charges of unlawful use of a weapon. His bail was set at $1,500.
