Columbia man arrested on drug charges
COLUMBIA - A man was arrested Friday evening after a vehicle search allegedly revealed multiple controlled substances.
Around 6:00 p.m., Boone County Sheriff’s deputies allegedly observed several traffic violations near Clark Lane. While speaking to occupants in the vehicle, a deputy believed a controlled substance was inside the vehicle.
Following a search, deputies allegedly located two different types of controlled substances as well as paraphernalia indicative of drug sales.
Aaron Monroe of Columbia was arrested on suspicion of felony delivery of a controlled substance as well as felony possession.
Bond for both charges was set at $9,000. At the time of his arrest, Monroe also had an active failure-to-appear warrant for his arrest.
A female driver of the vehicle was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of controlled substances.
