Columbia Police Looking for Suspect in String of Break-Ins
COLUMBIA - Investigators from the Columbia Police Department believe a string of break-ins are related and have them looking for one suspect. In every incident, police said the suspect entered through an unlocked door.
Sergeant Joe Bernhard said there have been nine incidents, which started on June 29. The most recent incident happened on Nov. 17. The break-ins have taken place on Anthony Street, East Walnut Street, Locust Street, University Avenue and South William Street.
Bernhard said the suspect has touched female victims, lied in victims' beds nude, appeared with his pants down, attempted to remove victims' clothing, threatened victims and struck victims.
