Columbia Police Nab Second Suspect In March Homicide
COLUMBIA - Public information officer Latisha Stroer confirmed in a news release Wednesday the Columbia Police Department arrested a second suspect in connection to a March homicide.
Police said a sergeant arrested 20-year-old Durantrae Logan for a felony warrant of second-degree murder and other charges. According to the news release, the sergeant had received a tip that Logan was staying at the 1600 block of Typhoon Drive, a neighborhood in northern Columbia just east of Rangeline Street.
Police said Logan killed 39-year-old Lamont Sargent at a residence on N. Eighth Street on March 4. Shortly after the incident, police arrested 18-year-old Larrell Banks, making Logan the second suspect arrested in connection to this incident.
