Columbia Woman Accused of Assault with Vehicle
COLUMBIA - A Columbia woman was released Friday morning from the Boone County Jail on accusations of using her vehicle for an assault.
Wednesday afternoon, deputies said Kor'janae Carter was in a physical fight with a group of people. Deputies said she got in her car and left the scene only to then return.
Upon returning, Carter accelerated her vehicle and struck an individual in the street that was uninvolved in the earlier fight.
The victim who was struck was transported to the hospital and later released that night.
Carter was arrested for disturbing the peace by fighting and second degree assault.
The subjects involved in the confrontation with Carter have been charged with misdemeanor peace disturbance.
