Columbia Youth Program Receives Federal Grant
COLUMBIA - Rainbow House, a Columbia advocacy organization, announced Monday it will receive an annual $179,999 grant from the federal Family and Youth Services Bureau for its homeless youth program.
Rainbow House said it is the only area agency to receive the transitional living services grant funds from the federal government.
The Rainbow House transitional living program, referred to as Sol House, allows youth in their late teens and early twenties to stay up to 18 months at the facility. At the facility, youth have access to employment opportunities, educational opportunities, mental health services and life skills training.
