MOBERLY- Moberly Area Community College could be one of thousands of community colleges that could benefit from President Obama's proposals regarding higher education.

Wednesday, President Obama unveiled a plan to offer the first two years of community college for free.

The proposal would need to be passed through both the House and Senate before becoming law.

According to the White House website, the plan could help nearly nine million students.

Moberly Area Community College President, Jeff Lashley said it would be an "outstanding benefit for students".
