Community Theatre Presents Last Show of the Season
COLUMBIA - The Columbia Entertainment Company kicked off its last weekend showings on Thursday for its final production of the 2010 to 2011 season. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will be the community theatre's last for this season, and Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the remaining days to catch it.
The play is a comedic musical and deals with the difficult times of adolescence in a fresh setting. It involves audience participation. Theatre employees drew raffles before the show, and some audience members even stepped on stage to play the role of bee competitors. This fulfills the theatre's mission of including the community.
This is just a temporary ending for the Columbia Entertainment Company. It starts up its 33rd season with Dracula in September.
