NIXA (AP) - State regulators say there were two complaints last year about the conduct of a southwest Missouri title company that closed last month. A lawsuit claims Guaranty Title Company in Nixa is missing about $4.5 million. The Missouri Department of Insurance says it has two complaints on file from last August and December about how Guaranty conducted business. The agency director Douglas Ommen said he could not be more specific about the complaints because they are still under investigation. But he said complaints about a title company's conduct could theoretically point to a serious financial problems.
