COLUMBIA - The Cougars were able to hold on for their fourth straight victory Saturday night, defeating Davenport University 2-1. The Cougars, ranked No. 19 in the NAIA, improve to 13-2-1 overall.

As they have done all season the Cougars got on the board early, scoring in the ninth minute. Dylan Barduzzi found Parker Rawdon for Columbia's first goal. The Cougars would add a second goal in the 23rd minute when Liam Cain netted a goal off assists from Barduzzi and Tim Tevlin.

The Panthers scored their lone goal of the contest with assistance from the Cougars, as the ball was deflected off a Columbia player and found the back of the net in the 52nd minute.

Matt McKenna logged the win in goal, posting four saves.

The Cougars return to the field on Wednesday, Oct. 26th when they travel to St. Charles, Missouri to play Lindenwood University. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
