Searchers Mike Runge and Lynn Stephenson were among 158 people searching Monday night and yesterday morning for Tristan Owens. The child had wandered away from his Wentzville home and into the woods. As searchers were being called in for the night, Runge and Stephenson heard coyotes howling and had a hunch they were near the boy. A few minutes later, the searchers spotted two coyotes, scared them off and began calling for Tristan. They heard a noise and ran in that direction. A little voice said to them, "Will you take me home?"' Runge says hearing that voice, quote, "was like winning the lottery."
