CPD asks for help finding an armed robbery suspect
COLUMBIA - The Columbia Police Department announced Friday it is looking for a man officers suspect was involved in a Columbia armed robbery and shooting that occurred in May.
In July, the Boone County Court issued a warrant for the arrest of Edward Earl Wall, 42, in connection to a May incident where a delivery man was shot in the 1500 block of Towne Drive. CPD said Friday it is searching for Wall, but efforts to find him have been unsuccessful so far.
Columbia Police said the investigation of the May 2 shooting revealed that at 11:24 officers responded to a call of shots being fired. Investigators determined a male delivery driver had just finished a delivery when a man in a green coat pointed a gun at the driver and demanded money.
Police said during the confrontation the suspect shot the man in the arm, and did not take any valuables from him.
CPD said Friday Wall may be armed, and is considered dangerous.
Wall is wanted for robbery in the first degree, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
CPD said his bond is set at $150,000.
Anyone with any information regarding Wall is asked to contact Detective Jon Voss with the Columbia Police Department at (573) 874-7652, or call CrimeStoppers at (573) 875-TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous.
