CPD: Man threatened to burn police station, bomb sheriff's dept.
COLUMBIA - The Boone County Prosecuting Attorney charged a 21-year-old Columbia man Tuesday with making a terroristic threat.
The Columbia Police Department said officers arrested Matthew Crain Monday on two outstanding warrants including a violation of loitering and a non-moving traffic violation.
While at the Columbia Police Department, officials said Crain threatened to set fire to CPD and set a bomb off at the Boone County Sheriff's Department.
Court documents also said, "Crain stated he has extinsive (sic) military training and knowledge to construct a bomb."
Crain was in the Boone County Jail as of Tuesday morning.
