Crash report: 20 vehicles involved in crash at Missouri River Bridge
ROCHEPORT - Twenty vehicles crashed on Monday at the I-70 Missouri River Bridge near Rocheport.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report said Lindsey Felton, 32, of New Franklin crashed and her car came to a rest blocking both westbound lanes of I-70.
The pile-up was a chain reaction of the other 19 vehicles attempting to slow down "rapidly" and prevent hitting Felton's car.
Snowy weather conditions played a factor in the collision.
Two people were injured in the crash. Patricia Henning, 69, of Overland Park, Kansas was wearing her seatbelt and suffered moderate injuries according to the crash report. Andrew Boyer, 19, of Eureka suffered serious injuries and was wearing his seatbelt.
Traffic was at a standstill Monday for almost three hours until the bridge reopened at 3:45 p.m.
