Credit card device theft leads to arrest
FREEBURG - Osage County deputies arrested a man Wednesday after serving a search warrant at an apartment complex on Oak Street.
Authorities got the warrant after getting a report about a stolen credit card device. At the apartment complex, they arrested Jarrod Hooker on several charges, including possession and delivery of methamphetamine, theft and fraudulent use of a credit card device, and unlawful use of a gun.
Deputies took Hooker, 34, to the Osage County Jail to await formal charges and bond.
