Crisp Picks Up AMC Softball Honor
COLUMBIA -- Columbia senior Jordan Crisp was named one of the American Midwest Conference softball players of the week on Monday.
Crisp helped the Cougars to a 3-3 week this week with two wins on the mound at the NFCA Lead-Off Classic in Panama City Beach, Florida. The Cougars finished second in the silver bracket. She threw her first shutout of the season against Indiana Southeast, allowing only two hits while fanning six batters. Jordan logged her second win of the week over St. Thomas University in a 4-1 decision, again allowing just two hits and striking out six.
Jordan posted a 1.05 earned run average on the week and totaled 25 strikeouts. The No. 21 ranked Cougars are back in action this weekend at the Union University Classic in Jackson, Tennessee.
