Crossfit Unstoppable Holding Rowing Marathon
JEFFERSON CITY - Crossfit Unstoppable will hold a rowing marathon starting at 7 tonight.
The fitness center is planning for the marathon to last 13 hours and have people rowing throughout the night.
The purpose of this marathon is to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network Hospital.
Owner Debbie Rosslan will be giving people 30-minute rowing slots for a $5 minimum donation. If a person doesn't want to or can't be at the event, he or she can "buy out" of the event at the same donation minimum and have someone else row in his or her place.
Crossfit trainer Louis Perez plans to attempt and achieve a marathon in his two and a half hour slot.
By Friday morning, Crossfit Unstoppable had already raised $435 and hoped to reach more than $500 by the end of the event Saturday morning.
Rosslan said she tries to do one service event such as this one at least once every month.
