The Tigers started with two runs in the first on an RBI groundout by Zane Taylor and an RBI single by Derek Chambers. Freshman Ryan Lollis scored a run in the third on a sacrifice fly by Gary Arndt, making it 3-0. J.C. Field hit a two-run single in the fourth that plated Lollis and lead-off hitter Evan Frey. Mizzou added an unearned run in the fifth, and Lollis scored his third run of the game in the sixth after Arndt grounded out to first.
The win puts the Tigers at 20-20, with an 8-11 record in the Big 12. This weekend series is the Tigers' only meeting with Baylor this season. The two teams play again at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. Aaron Crow takes the hill for the Tigers, while Baylor sends out southpaw Cory VanAllen.
